guest arrival
Envelopes are prepped and waiting. Guests find their character's name and grab their Part 1 & Part 2 packets as they walk in — the mystery starts the second they arrive.
set the stage
The host reads the introduction letter and sets the tone. Guests mingle and complete their Part 1 objectives. Prime time for cocktails and appetizers. Allow 20–40 minutes depending on group size.
the murder
Lights go off. Lights come back on. Someone's dead. 💀 Outline the "body" with tape or chalk for the full crime scene effect. The victim sits out — or comes back as a ghost with a bedsheet and eye holes. It's always a highlight.
the investigation
The host reads the investigation sheet. Guests open their Part 2 envelopes — new clues, new secrets, new objectives. If you're doing a sit-down dinner, this is the perfect time to serve.
evidence presentation
Evidence photos are laid out for everyone to examine. Once all Part 2 objectives are complete, it's accusation time — every player announces who they think the killer is and why.
the solution
The host reads the solution aloud. The killer is revealed. Everyone GASPS or shouts "I KNEW IT!" Awards go out to guests who guessed right. A night your friends will be talking about for YEARS. 🎉
